CEnet Security Services - DFIR Service & CyberCX partnership

Guided by the work of the NCEC Cyber Security Working Group (CSWG), and the CEnet member dioceses, CEnet has identified an opportunity to assist the entire Catholic sector by providing access to an enhanced cyber incident response service.

CEnet facilitated a robust selection process on behalf of our member dioceses, and inclusive of the broader Catholic education sector, to identify a partner with the capability to offer a solution for all of Catholic Education including non-diocesan schools.

We are pleased to announce that CyberCX has been selected as the partner to offer a service which strengthens existing security solutions by providing:

  • Cyber Incident Response,

  • Proactive Cyber Uplift,

  • Enablement Services.

CyberCX is the largest end-to-end cyber security provider in the region, with capabilities and insights into the potential cyber threat challenges facing the Catholic education sector. The benefits of this partnership are extended to the entire Catholic education sector, with pricing that aims to lower the barrier to accessing incident response support and other cyber capabilities.

Pricing

Acknowledging the varied needs of the sector, the CEnet Master Agreement provides the flexibility to engage the services of CyberCX in a number of ways.

  • A retainer purchased directly from CyberCX.

  • A retainer with the optional addition of prepaid hours for later use on any CyberCX service or incident response needs.

  • A "zero-hour retainer" which enables engagement with CyberCX for serious-incident triage and response, albeit without the SLA of a pre-paid retainer.

Nb. This partnership does not impact any existing relationships or agreements that exist with CyberCX across our sector. Response activities for the retainer services may be subject to further response charges identified during the triage process.

Educational Webinars

As part of this partnership, CyberCX will be conducting a series of short educational webinars in the coming months. The first will be with the Digital Forensic and Incident Response team, who have led the response to some of the most high-profile cyber-attacks in the region.

We welcome all members and the Catholic education community to these educational webinars to learn about key methodologies and best security practices in this rapidly changing cyber landscape – and to understand how CyberCX can support you.
