  • CEnet staff have played an instrumental role in designing, implementing and supporting every service within the service catalogue. As additional services have been deployed over time, CEnet personnel have become trusted advisors in many technical facets of diocesan IT requirements and as a result possess expert technical and domain knowledge and experience. Therefore, CEnet staff are uniquely placed to provide optimal service to CEnet members during once-off projects that need to meet a specific business requirement, through to BAU day-to-day support functionality.

The aim of this service is to extend the current engagement model between Diocesan members and CEnet staff. As Dioceses consider employing third-party consultants and/or contractors, CEnet’s professional services arm provides a cost competitive option along with greater in-house knowledge and experience.

The service may at times be extended to non-member organisations such as Catholic Agencies.

    What is included?

CEnet offers professional services across a range of technologies including, but not limited to:

    • Consulting and Advisory e.g. providing advice with regard to policy, process, architecture and / or frameworks.

    • Staff Training. Developing training courses and/or facilitating training sessions.

    • Team Augmentation. For example providing resources to supplement members’ own teams undertaking Business As Usual (BAU) operations and support duties and/or as resources on member owned-managed projects.

    • Scoped Tasks. CEnet or third parties delivering non-standard tasks, work units or projects to an agreed scope of work (SoW).

Please contact CEnet directly for further information on any areas that may be delivered under a Professional Services engagement.

  • CEnet has at its foundation, collaboration. With our members, we achieve things as a whole, not just in the development of shared technical services, but also by sharing the benefits of domain knowledge.

CEnet provides a broad range of collaboration opportunities including face to face and virtual meetings of diocese-based subject matter experts, and collaborative, member-driven professional learning opportunities.

    Synergy Sessions

Synergy Sessions are designed to foster robust partnerships and collaboration between technology professionals and educators, aiming to bridge the gap between technical capability and pedagogical needs. The primary purpose is to break down operational silos, allowing diverse teams to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and develop a mutual understanding of their respective challenges and objectives. By facilitating these connections, the event benefits participants through the creation of a supportive professional network that leverages collective wisdom to avoid duplication of effort and ultimately enhance student learning outcomes.

    Future: Forward Conference

Future: Forward events serve as a dynamic collaborative hub where the Catholic education community comes together to translate high-level innovation into practical school-based strategies. The conference features a diverse mix of keynote presentations, teacher showcases and student voice panels offering practical, ground-level perspectives on classroom success. The event fosters active participation through hands-on group challenges and targeted professional learning workshops.

Complemented by a vibrant exhibition space for meaningful vendor engagement, Future: Forward connects decision-makers, IT experts, school leaders and educators with the partners and peers to build a robust, future-ready environment for their schools.

    Concepts Conference

The CEnet Concepts Conference is an annual face to face event bringing together experts from within the membership that are using the enterprise CeSIS and CeFMS. Dioceses using this integrated student information and financial management solution have the opportunity to showcase innovations developed to meet local needs so that others with similar needs can benefit.

    Catholic Learning Online

Catholic Learning Online is a member-driven initiative which which provides teachers, administrators and education support staff with opportunities to participate in online professional learning events throughout the year.

The Catholic Learning Online initiative is the result of collaboration between CEnet Member Dioceses, with a team of diocesan educators identifying and coordinating expert workshop presenters from within the membership and the broader community to deliver professional learning that supports the use of technology authentically in learning and teaching and administration.
