Core Processes Framework
We’re excited to share a key highlight of our AI pilot program: the Core Processes Framework, tools we’ve developed to make the essential aspects of teaching more explicit and accessible for designing impactful AI agents.
What is the Core Processes Framework?
This framework is built on the fundamental practices that guide teachers and students in their daily routines, making them explicit and actionable for designing AI agents tailored to enhance their work. It emphasises five essential areas:
Planning: Streamlining lesson creation, resource development, and curriculum design.
Instruction: Enhancing classroom delivery and ensuring differentiated, scaffolded learning experiences.
Assessment: Supporting meaningful formative, summative, and diagnostic tasks.
Feedback: Facilitating timely, constructive feedback for students to improve learning outcomes.
Student Support: Addressing diverse student needs, promoting wellbeing, and fostering academic growth.
Why It Matters
By unpacking these processes, the framework guides teachers to design AI agents that:
Directly align with their teaching goals.
Scaffold and enhance student learning in a meaningful way.
Simplify their workload while maintaining educational quality.
Next Steps
As our pilot progresses, we’re supporting educators to leverage this framework to create purposeful AI agents that enrich both teaching and learning. The Core Processes Framework is just the beginning—our shared goal is to empower teachers to embrace AI as a partner in their practice.
